Sergeant First Class Cutlip was a member of the 34th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division. Initially, Sergeant First Class Cutlip was listed as Missing in Action while fighting the enemy in South Korea on July 29, 1950. He was presumed dead on December 31, 1953. Later his remains were recovered and interred at a private cemetery in West Virginia.
