Notes
Sergeant Martin was a member of the 1st Battalion, 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. On January 24, 1968 he was assigned to block passage of all personnel to prevent the escape of North Korean infiltrators who had unsuccessfully tried to assassinate South Korean President Park. He was shot and killed by an enemy agent.
