The 2013 Veterans Day Ceremony at Normandy American Cemetery in France included the playing of the national anthems, a wreath-laying, reading of the Presidential Veterans Day Proclamation, and the playing of “Taps.” This ceremony honored the sacrifices of the nearly 11,000 individuals that are buried or memorialized at this site.
